Avoncroft Museum is home to more than 30 historic buildings, structures and other exhibits which have been rescued and re-housed rural Worcestershire. The Museum is spread over 19 acres and includes a wildflower meadow, period gardens, a traditional cider and perry orchard as well as the collection of buildings. Founded in 1963 it became Englands first open-air museum, opening to the public in 1967 following the reconstruction of a 15th-century house rescued from Bromsgrove in mid 1962.
