Bangla TV is the first and most popular Bangla language television channel outside South-Asian Sub-continent. Bangla TV not only created a new media but also an opportunity to share own stories in own language among Bangla speaking community in the UK and Europe. Now after 17 years of successful broadcasting; Bangla TV is the most powerful vehicle to reach out 1.2 million strong Bangla speaking Diaspora in the UK and Europe. Bangla TVs transmission begins on 16th September 1999. Bangla TV broadcasting from London for one of the biggest minority community in UK. About 700k Bengali speaking people are now living in UK and another 700k living in EU countries. Before 1999 there was no Television channel for Bengali speaking people in this region. Bangla TV was not an introduction for this community but also it creates opportunity to the Bengali community to think and share with Media world by their own language
