Bangladesh Fisheries Development Corporation

The corporation has been providing the necessary assistance to the fisheries and fisheries industry, fisheries from the deep sea, healthy landing, preservation, processing and marketing. It is a government owned autonomous corporation dedicated to the development of the countrys fisheries and fisheries industry through 20 units. With the help of UN FAO, the corporation discovered four commercial fishing bases called South Patch, Elephant Point, East of Swatch of No Ground, and Swatch of No Ground in the Bay of Bengal. The corporation is conducting the production of sweet water fishes in Kaptai Lake (Karnafuli reservoir)
