Since September 2008 the companys major shareholder is Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) the rest being split among Banca Comerciala Romana SA and other stockholders. The new major shareholder of BCR Asigurari de Viata was approved by the Insurance Supervisory Commission in the Decision No. 71 / 21.01.2009.
