BELhospice

Centre for palliative care and palliative medicine BELhospice is the first specialised charity organisation in Serbia that provides palliative care aimed at improved quality of life to cancer patients and their families. Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families facing the problem associated with life-threatening illness, through the prevention and relief of suffering by means of early identification and impeccable assessment and treatment of pain and other problems, physical, psycho-social and spiritual. Our multidisciplinary team is consisted of two doctors, three nurses, two carers, a social worker, psychologist and a spiritual coordinator. All our services are free of charge for the patients and their families. Our work is financed solely through donations.
