Berry Van Lines was founded in 1930 in Easton, MD as a moving company and hauler of coal and chickens. In the 1940s Pop Berry bought property in Dover, DE and built a warehouse and office to service the military base that became know as Dover Air Force Base. Eventually, Berry expanded and to service the complete Delmarva peninsula and then the Mid-Atlantic area and the continental USA as an agent, first for Global then Bekins Van Lines.
