Bethany Hospice was founded by Diane Mead - R.N., B.S.N. to provide the highest level of care to patients throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. Bethany Hospice is comprised of a dedicated team of diverse individuals who are all committed to upholding the principles of hospice as outlined in our mission: To guide all those who have been touched in some way by a life limiting illness, offering a comprehensive approach to comfort care, and ensuring a dignified quality of life. Hospice is a specialized type of care for those facing life-limiting illnesses and who are no longer pursuing or benefiting from aggressive or experimental treatments. At this juncture, the primary focus is shifted to quality of life. Hospice is not a place, but rather a service customized for each person whether in a persons home, assisted living residence, nursing facility or hospital.
