Bike Works has been working for kids, bikes, and community since 1996, working to empower youth and make bicycling accessible and affordable for everyone. Our programs invest in young people and encourage bicycling as a clean and healthy transportation alternative. Located in the heart of Columbia City, we are committed to working in institutionally-neglected neighborhoods in south Seattle that lack easily accessible community programs and safe public spaces. Through time-intensive after-school mentoring programs and innovative bike riding opportunities, we reach youth who are not usually attracted to traditional enrichment activities, and help them realize their own self-worth within a community...
