Blacktown City is the largest local government area in NSW with an estimated population of 435,000 residents and a projected population of 540,000 by 2041. Our 15 elected Councillors are supported by over 2,000 staff who cover administrative and outdoor activities. Blacktown is in the heart of Western Sydney, 35 kilometres from the Sydney CBD and spread across 247 square kilometres and 54 suburbs. It is a progressive and diverse City, and an important contributor to the growth of the greater Sydney region. The day-to-day operations of Blacktown City are led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who is the contact between the elected Councillors and Blacktown Citys administrative body.
