Boreka Group

Boreka Group is a locally owned, woman led social enterprise using technology to work with communities to accelerate adoption of nature based solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts and improve livelihoods. Our goal is to develop sustainable carbon sinks focusing on biodiversity through agroforestry models with community groups. We believe that collective action by communities is key to catalysing climate action for social & environmental impact. These communities in Arid and Semi Arid Lands own medium & large chunks of land that can be turned into agroforestry models by making use of soil species matching technologies to plant the right species adapted to these climates and making use of mobile technology to support trainings on silvicultural practices by extension services.
