It is the mission of the men and women of the Bossier Sheriffs Office to be courteous, professional and responsive as we protect the rights and dignity of every citizen. In partnership with our community, we strive to preserve the peace and provide a safe environment. Led by Sheriff Julian Whittington, the Bossier Parish Sheriffs Office enforces state law and parish ordinances, investigating crimes of all kinds across the parish. We also investigate motor vehicle accidents and conduct traffic enforcement. The Sheriffs Office contains numerous departments outside of the criminal division, including our corrections facilities, civil department, and property tax collection.
