Botshabelo was established in the year 2000 as a Non Profit Organisation (NPO), focusing on childrens foundation education and transforming teaching approaches in South Africa through partnership with low income communities. The NPO is constituted by a committed and passionate group of diverse team members. Over the last 20 years we have reached more than 85 500 beneficiaries across rural and peri-urban areas through our various programmes. Our three programmes include: Babies Home where we provide residential care for orphaned babies UpliftED teacher training programme for Early Childhood Development practitioners Urban Kids Educare Centre which provides Foundation education for marginalised families We aspire to ensure that we build lasting partnerships with women and children in under-resourced communities, whose source of income is through informal trading and social security.
