Boundless Brilliance

Boundless Brilliance is a LA based nonprofit that energizes young girls to embrace their brilliance and works to close the gender gap in STEM fields. To accomplish our mission, we bring free presentations to elementary school classrooms that encourage students to explore futures in STEM fields. Our presenters are a diverse group of college student volunteers who are passionate about equity in STEM. Our goal is to dismantle the exclusionary conception of who can be a scientist before young students are old enough to internalize the social biases that exist in the field. At Boundless Brilliance, we aim to show all students that their potential is infinite, their intelligence is unlimited, and that anyone can be a scientist. We want to build interest in science among marginalized students to build a more egalitarian future. The organization was founded in January 2017 by three women at Occidental College.
