The Exchange is owned by a consortium of firms and was launched in 2012. The Exchange currently oversees one facility, the BOX Options Market LLC (BOX Options), an equity options market with both electronic and floor-based trading. BOX Exchange is responsible for regulating and monitoring activities on any of its facilities to ensure compliance with Exchange rules and federal securities laws
