Put simply - we look to uncover the connection between neuroinflammation & mental health. This collaborative effort is the first ongoing clinical research study of its kind allowing collaborators to look for patterns and triggers in mental & physical health symptoms. Brain inflammation, as the result of autoimmune processes, infections, allergies, & injuries can trigger or mimic common mental health symptoms such as depression, anxiety, OCD, panic attacks and behavior changes sometimes even presenting as other serious illnesses such as anorexia. These symptoms are frequently misdiagnosed leading to confusion, delay of care, or even the wrong care. Our research grade historical and longitudinal data collection & biobank database gives patients, clinicians, and researchers tools needed to further the advancements in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of neuroinflammatory illnesses.
