The British Society of Gastroenterology is a professional body established to promote gastroenterology across the UK. Founded in 1937, we represent over three thousand members in medical professions including physicians, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, scientists, nurses and dietitians. We work to represent our members within the British Royal Colleges and also to the Department of Health and Government. Internationally, we are represented at World and European level through The World Gastroenterology Organisation and United European Gastroenterology.
