Bronx Community Health Leaders (BxCHL)

Bronx Community Health Leaders is a volunteer organization founded at the Montefiore Family Health Clinic in 2014. BxCHL is made up of diverse pre-health students from across NYC with expanding membership. Leaders are required to volunteer in the clinic, and learn about the healthcare environment by participating in patient support groups and clinic initiatives. Leadership is the second component of the program, requiring each volunteer to either create their own project within the clinic to fulfill a health need in the Bronx, or to further develop existing projects.
