Brookville Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Shields purchased BVH from Dr. Cristy in May of 1968 and practiced for four years in a 2-room attic sun-porch on Pickering Street. In 1972, the old Beanery restaurant on Route 36 was modified to become the veterinary hospital until November 10, 2006 when we moved into our amazing new facility on the edge of town. 1376650_10152336345229126_1934192171_nA lot has changed through all these years. The dog has moved from the barnyard to the back yard, from the back yard to the living room, and from the living room to the bedroom and even in the masters bed! Cats and pocket pets are no longer disposabletheir personality cannot be replaced! Our hospital focus has adapted as wellgoing from predominately farm animal care to primarily pet care. The bond between a human and their pet has transformed the practice of veterinary medicine, and Brookville Veterinary Hospital has grown to accommodate this need.
