The Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management was conceived in December 2001 with the mission to promote the growth of human resources professionals in the country.The Society intends to provide leadership through education, networking, shared knowledge and transfer of best practices across all the sectors. With the legal status of an Association of Persons, the Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Management was registered bythe Registrar of Joint Stock Company under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Act No. XXI of 1860). A 15-member Executive Committee, all HR professionals across the sectors, is responsible for overall management of the Society. Since its formal inauguration in April 2002 by the then Honourable President of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, Professor A.Q.M.
