Nepal is one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world. Many marginalised families dream of living in a safe, brick house, but cannot afford it. The fired brick industry is also a major polluter. Our locally-led model supports micro-enterprises to produce climate-friendly bricks and build disaster-resilient homes that are greener, cheaper and safer. We have supported more than 300 micro-enterprises, built over 10,000 homes and created 2,200 jobs, while cutting 100,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions...
