The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) is charged with the overall responsibility of implementing the Nigerian policy on privatization and commercialization. As the Secretariat of the National Council of Privatization, the Bureaus functions under the Act establishing it include the implementation of the Nigerian policy on privatization, commercialization and preparing public enterprises approved for the programme.
