Butler Area Sewer Authority

BASA has a service area of approximately 32.5 square miles. The service area is comprised of Butler and Center Township, the City of Butler, and Borough of East Butler, portions of Connoquenessing, Oakland, Summit Township and a very small portion of Penn Township. The nearly 15,000 customers within the area are serviced by over 230 miles of interceptor sewers, 22 pump stations, and the 10 million gallon per day sewage treatment plant located at 100 Litman Road.
