Bydee was born of a love of detail and design at our Founders family kitchen bench in her teens. Ever the creative, learning to sew came naturally. It was my Mum who made sure my sister and I knew how to make our clothes and costumes, Dessy says. Market-grown and now the head of a close-knit team, Dees favourite part of the creative process remains all about the detail. Drawing inspiration from her travels, each new collection is designed to transport our Bydee Babes to their dream destination. Dee, known to most as Dessy Hairis, Creative Director and Founder of Bydee, formed the brand in its initial iteration in 2013. Stimulated by a swimwear obsession and her Mediterranean roots, Bydee has evolved from a market stall to an internationally recognised brand. Making the transition to the Sydney market scene once Bydee was born gave Dessy a keen eye for trends and a strong customer base.
