Cairo Police Department

The Cairo Police Department is headed by the Chief of Police and currently employs 22 Sworn Officers and 3 civilian employees. Ranks within the department include Lieutenant, Sergeant, Corporal, Master Patrol Officer, and Police Officer. Some of the different positions within the department include, Patrol Shift Commander, Criminal Investigator, Drug Investigator, Crime Scene Technician, and Evidence Manager & Training Coordinator. The Cairo Police Department is comprised of the following: The Office of the Chief includes: Administration, Public Records, Evidence Management and Training. Investigative Operations includes: Criminal and Drug Investigation Divisions. Patrol Operations include: Patrol and Community Based Policing.
