The Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1915 by a group of national businessmen with a vision towards promoting and nurturing the free and fair trade in our country, as well as with our trade partners worldwide. In the Chamber of Commerce, we recognize that a strong private sector is fundamental to the Costa Ricas economic well-being, and that a vigorous commercial sector contributes to the countrys competitiveness. The Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce is a private and non-profit business association formed by a wide range of commercial companies (exporters, importers, distributors and wholesalers) from the agriculture sector, food industry, specialized industries and services sector. The Chamber of Commerce is the longest-standing business organization in Costa Rica, and a visible and respected player on the national business and political scene.
