Canadas National History Society

History is happening right now at Canadas History, where our mission is to make the discovery of our nations past relevant, engaging, empowering and accessible to all Canadians. Canadas History is one of only two national charities devoted to the field of public history and the only one with a broad national membership base. Our loyal members include some 50,000 Canadian adults, children and youth from Toronto to Cambridge Bay, Nunavut; from Montreal to Balcarres, Saskatchewan; and from Vancouver to Centreville, Nova Scotia. Our popular publications, Canadas History Magazine (formerly The Beaver) and Kayak: Canadas History Magazine for Kids, bring the people and events that have shaped our past to life in stories that educate us as well as entertain.
