Canine Humane Network

The Canine Humane Network is a non-profit organization, who believes all dogs deserve a safe, loving home, and a healthy life. We work to protect innocent dogs who are homeless or have been abandoned or neglected. We have a physical dog shelter in Highland, Maryland. Once we receive dogs in need, we do our best to place them with our local foster families until they are adopted. We make sure all our dogs are healthy, up to date on shots and all medications, and are spay/neutered prior to them being adopted. We do all this with a staff full of volunteers, most of which having full time careers outside of the shelter. We work to find perfect homes for our pups, until that happens, feeding, housing, providing medical care and taking care of animals can be expensive. We try to keep our adoption fees low so our funding comes from fundraisers and donations.
