Canon Stroke and Vascular Research Center

We are a multi-disciplinary research facility under the University at Buffalos Department of Neurosurgery which joins together researchers and their students from a variety of departments such as Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering and others. We perform our own grant-funded research projects as well as collaborating with industry leaders and other researchers in academia from across the globe. In 2020, we also expanded our capabilities into GLP compliant studies. We were created as a result of a collaboration between Dr. L.N. Hopkins with the Toshiba Corporation and continue to receive significant support from what is now Canon Medical Systems.
