We have developed a microsystem based technology that offers a solution for near-patient blood sampling e.g. at home. Patients can themselves conveniently leave blood samples (as dried blod spots) and send it by mail to a laboratory for analysis. This is possible through our new disposable sampling chip that can meter and store an exact blood volume which allows for quantitative measurements, something that so far not has been possible.
