Capital Sanitary is dedicated to being the leading distributor of quality janitorial supplies, equipment, parts, and service. We continue to build mutually beneficial relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees. Capital Sanitary opened its doors in 1939 and was founded by Tom Hanna. In 1961 Doug Ireland joined Capital Sanitary as the company accountant. Due to various circumstances, Doug moved into the world of sales to help fill a void. In 1976 Doug purchased Capital Sanitary. In 1982 our second location, Carroll Cleaning, was purchased. The year was 1993 when the company survived the great flood. The company pulled together and with the help of employees, families, friends, and representatives from other distributors had us back in business in record time.
