Caredig

Caredig is a non-profit social landlord. We provide housing and support to people in Swansea, Neath, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. Caredig (formerly Family Housing) was formed in 1975 by a group of local people who recognised there was a shortage of good quality, affordable housing available in the Swansea area for people in housing need. In its early years, the Association concentrated its activities in the Swansea City area and provided rented accommodation through the refurbishment of existing, dilapidated houses in Housing Action Areas and General Improvement Areas. It has since expanded to undertake a wide range of new build and regeneration projects throughout a much wider area of operation. The Associations activities are funded through a mixture of public and private finance.
