About Us

Welcome to the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) - a Caribbean intergovernmental organisation dedicated to facilitating the development of the regional telecommunications sector. Established by Caribbean Heads of Government in 1989, the CTUs mandate is to create an environment in partnership with members to optimise the returns from ICT resources for the benefit of stakeholders, ultimately the peoples of the region. A multi-stakeholder ICT organisation, the CTUs membership includes 20 Member States, both CARICOM and non-CARICOM, and private sector and civil society organisations. The CTU is the regions foremost proponent of ICT-enabled development, committed to fostering the Caribbeans development through the effective use of ICTs.
