Carolina Renaissance Festival

The Carolina Renaissance Festival was first introduced in 1994 with six acres of exhibits, attractions and entertainments and has grown to become one of the largest renaissance themed events nationwide. Blending fantasy and history, the Festival celebrates 16th century European art and entertainment. The Festival is a tree lined 25 acre theme park filled with charming cottages and castles, kitchens and pubs, a most unusual collection of people powered rides and games of skill, 14 stages of outdoor theater featuring comedy, live music, and circus entertainments, an arts and craft market with over 140 artisans displaying handmade wares, and feasting fit for royalty. Premier attractions include jousting knights on horse back battling 3 times daily, live falconry presentations, and swimming mermaids.
