Casco Area Workshop, as its primary mission, provides services to people with disabilities. Support and accommodation may take many forms. It may be advocating for the person to participate in a community or service organization or political structure, or encouraging businesses within the community to be more open and accessible to customers with disabilities. It may be assisting the person to gain the experience and skills needed to care for themselves and their home, or developing a job for them within the community which matches their vocational interests. It may also be advocating for and providing a sheltered work environment so they can become more productive, or work in a more accommodating environment than that of the competitive workplace. Cascos mission is that of providing support.
