Catherine Truman has over 15 years of experience in preservation, new design, and interiors. She founded Catherine Truman Architects in order to pursue a passion for the intersection of architectural and interior design within historic or sensitive settings, in particular with residential-scale work. Her projects encompass both traditional and modern design expression, as no one solution will fit all clients; the design expression is the result of a close working relationship with the individual client to determine the best design solution for their personal, spatial, and aesthetic needs. Her work is characterized by great attention to detail, materials, and craft, and to keeping historic spaces relevant to contemporary life without compromising their history, legacy, or character.
