Center for Human Rights and Citizenship - FLCUA

The CHRC is an organic unit of the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Angola that coordinates all interventions in the areas of human rights at the University. The Center is composed of three areas, namely: Legal Practice, Scientific Research and Research and Citizenship Projects. The Legal Clinic provides free legal support to people without resources. In addition to the permanent service, the Legal Clinic has projects to support people in excess of preventive detention, through monitoring activities in prisons; It is currently carrying out the project to support victims of Domestic Violence and works, in partnership with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees UNHCR, in providing legal support to refugees and interned immigrants in an irregular situation.
