Center for Literacy

Center for Literacy (CFL) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing free education and workforce training to adult learners in the Philadelphia region. CFL provides classes, career counseling and tutoring sessions to adults seeking their GED, credentials, English proficiency, math skills, technology understanding and/or assistance in obtaining their desirable career path. Almost 40 percent of those living in poverty in Philadelphia lack a high school credential. Without one, they are at a serious disadvantage when trying to find work or earn family-sustaining wages.
