Centre for Industry Education Collaboration

The Centre for Industry Education Collaboration (CIEC) is based in the Chemistry department of the University of York. It works with primary teachers and with science based industry. It highlights STEM opportunities for young people by building visible links between science education and its application in industry and related careers. CIECs expertise helps the industry partners they work with to increase and sustain the number of local children considering a future within their industry. CIEC offers science industries a range of tailored approaches to work with schools, supporting their CSR and community outreach goals. CIEC provides free downloadable science publications and interactive websites for teachers that support the teaching of the UKs science curricula for 4-12 year olds.
