The Centre undertakes interdisciplinary study involving legal academia and the other stakeholders involved in the conservation of the environment and preservation of its wholesomeness and aspires to be an incubator for new approaches on how law can best address the complex and cross-cutting issues related to the problems faced by the environment. The Centre also addresses a critical need for systematic development of legal techniques and legal structures to address the challenges presented by issues at the intersection of law and environment, biodiversity, and other allied disciplines
