Founded in Alice Springs in 1974, Chartair is one of the biggest General Aviation companies in the country with a fleet of 40 aircraft, employing 80 full-time staff across three bases in the Northern Territory (Darwin, Alice Springs and Katherine). Chartair is Gold BARS registered, which demonstrates our commitment to additional risk management protocols within aviation maintenance and operations. This provides us with the ability to engage with mining and resource companies who require minimum standards Chartair is a Scheduled Transport Operator under part 135, which requires our maintenance and flight operation activities to perform at a significantly higher standard of regulatory approval than a regular charter operator. Our in-house approved maintenance organisation (AMO) operates under CASR Part 145 conditions.
