Our Story (and Were Sticking to It!) Chilis Grill & Bar opened its first restaurant in 1975 on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, Texas. Created as a hamburger restaurant/chili house with a uniquely Southwestern flair, Chilis served homemade-quality food, draft beer and frozen drinks in a casual atmosphere. The menu was as simple as the food was outstanding, with items like the Oldtimer - a 12 lb. hamburger topped with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions and mustard - and a bowl of Texas Red Chilli. Since then, Chilis has been welcoming guests with our sizzling personality, serving up a good time, every time with incredible appetizers and entrees, thirst-quenching drinks and decadent desserts. Along the way, weve fed a bunch of folks, hosted a ton of parties and had lots of laughs. Today, Chilis has more than 1,400 locations in 28 different countries around the world.
