Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest

Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest (CSNW) is currently home to fifteen chimpanzees and four cattle. The first group of chimps, known as the Cle Elum Seven, were released from biomedical research in June, 2008. Four rescued cattle joined the sanctuary in 2018 from Farm Sanctuary when their Orland, CA shelter closed. Three more chimpanzees arrived from Wildlife Waystation in 2019 after their announced closure.
