China Overseas Grand Oceans Group Limited (hereafter referred to as COGOGL or the Company), formerly known as Shell Electric Manufacturing (Holdings) Co. Ltd. (SMC) was established in 1955 and its shares have been listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited since 1984. In March 2010, China Overseas Land & Investment Ltd. (COLI, 0688.HK) completed the acquisition of the controlling interest in SMC, and renamed SMC as China Overseas Grand Oceans Group Limited (0081.HK).COLI was incorporated in Hong Kong in 1979. It is the flagship company of China Overseas Holdings Limited, a wholly-owned Hong Kong subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, the largest construction conglomerate in China.
