Chiyoda Corporation of Japan has been active in supporting Qatars energy development since the 1970s, including the delivery of EPC projects for 12 of the 14 LNG trains that have been taken up in Ras Laffan. With the ever-growing need to provide technical support to these operations, Chiyoda Almana was established in March 2008 by Chiyoda Corporation together with a local Qatar partner, Almana Trading Company to provide a local project lifecycle delivery capability to the LNG and other industrial sectors in Qatar.
