CRUDAN has been enabling institutions, organizations and the Church in Nigeria to empower the poor in the name of Jesus Christ. It is a Christian, not-for-profit, Non-Governmental membership organization whose members are multi-sector professionals engaged in sustainable development work in Nigeria. Formed in 1990, following the merger of two Christian organizations that operated independently in the country, CRUDAN began operation in 1991 and was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Government of Nigeria on 7th of December 1992
