Chubu University

The Chubu University is a comprehensive university encompassing seven colleges and twenty-nine departments in the arts and sciences. Its graduate school consisting of five graduate courses offers fourteen master and doctoral programs. It is an institution initially established in 1938 as a pre-eminent technical university for the Chubu region. It became Chubu Industrial University in 1964, and changed its name to Chubu University in 1984.
