CIMV

The biorefinery process developed by CIMV (Compagnie Industrielle de la Matiere Vegetale) is a concrete alternative to the challenges posed by the end of fossil products. CIMV technology promotes the non-food part of a wide range of renewable lignocellulosic resources (cereal straw, sugarcane bagasse, fibrous plants or hardwoods), placing it in perfect synergy with the food issues, creating added-value bioproducts. The use of these by-products makes it possible to coexist food and non-food production from the same agricultural sector, while preserving cultivable land. CIMV technology is today protected by 14 families of patents, filed in strategic sectors worldwide. It allows for a clean separation, without degradation, of all components of the lignocellulosic biomass.
