City of Lomita

About the Community: The City of Lomita is located at the base of the Palos Verdes Peninsula approximately five miles inland from the Pacific Ocean in the County of Los Angeles. Approximately two square miles in area, the City has a population of around 20,000 residents. The majority of the parcels within the City are residential, with commercial uses concentrated on Pacific Coast Highway, Narbonne Avenue, Lomita Boulevard, and Western Avenue. Lomita boasts a small town feel that is unique within the Los Angeles metropolitan region. The City contains five parks as well as a Railroad Museum dedicated to the era of the steam engine.
