Until 1 July 2011, City Super was the super fund for current and former employees of Brisbane City Council, its subsidiaries and associated employers, and their spouses. With over 14,500 members and approximately $1.4 billion in funds under management, City Super was one of the largest corporate super funds in Australia. From 1 July 2011, LGsuper and City Super merged to become one fund for all of local government in Queensland. The combined fund operates under the LGsuper name and all members are covered under amended provisions of the Local Goverment Act (Qld).
