CLOCC (Clean Oceans through Clean Communities)

CLOCC is an initiative by Avfall Norge, with ISWA (International Solid Waste Association) as implementing partner. We are supported by Norad, and part of the Norwegian development programme to combat marine plastic pollution. Our partners include InSWA (Indonesia Solid Waste Association), Hand in Hand Sweden and Hand in Hand India. Our goal is to reduce marine plastic pollution through improving waste management on land in countries that serve as significant sources of unmanaged waste into the oceans. Our approach is Integrated Sustainable Waste Management (ISWM). Plastic pollution continues to grow rapidly, and only 9 % of the plastics are recycled....
